Don’t close the door on yourself

Some people say you shouldn’t meet your ‘heroes’, but I am firmly planted on the opposite side of that fence - so much so that I recommend people meet them as soon as possible. When I refer to heroes, I am not really referring to people as such, but people’s dreams.

So, back to meeting your ‘heroes’, I think everyone should go ‘meet’ them in person - go see what the reality of that dream looks and even feels like. Go get a feeling for what it is like to be in your dream home, there are open inspections every week! Get out there and sit in your dream car, dealerships are everywhere - better yet, take the bloody thing for a test drive! Want to go see some of the world? Go speak to a travel agent and plan your dream trip, even if you haven’t got a cent to spare. Go make it happen, as close to it as you physically can, as soon as you can.

I don’t think that enough people hear that their dreams can become a reality. Of course, not every dream can come true - you can’t just become a royal or transform into a unicorn! But, with hard work, sacrifice, planning, constant self-improvement, taking opportunities and being a good person, I think the majority of people may be capable of achieving their dreams. More people need to start believing in themselves. If you don’t back yourself, who will?

You can’t let a dream enter your reality until you open the door to it. If you keep the dream in the ether, in your imagination, you won’t know how it makes you feel, what it’s worth and to allow yourself to begin figuring out how you could make it a reality.

So, go meet your heroes - I would suggest that you don’t waste another minute and begin making some calls today.
