Solving problems
Problems exist, but we all see things differently, therefore, what some see a problem, others may not, and, vice versa. Problems may also mean something different to each of us - ranging from causes of anxiety and stress to the perception of an opportunity.
Most of us are good at identifying problems as they crop up, less of us are able to identify problems before they occur and only a few attempt to solve them. To crudely simplify things, I believe individuals can have two streams of thought around problems: 1) I see the problem/the problem is effecting me so I will let someone else deal with it or find a work around 2) I will attempt to design a way of overcoming the problem and solve it.
A wise teacher once taught me that if you want to succeed in life, you need to solve problems. Not just learn how to solve, or attempt to solve them, but ACTUALLY solve them.
So take a leaf from the wisdom of cleaners by being humble, hard working and, when things get messy, start cleaning up messes. There are a lot of problems out there and your efforts may just change the way our world works for the better.
